What Books Is
aWLCo Books is a private bookkeeping and financial operations application used to keep company records accurate and current.
Information We Collect
Books may collect and process:
- Account sign-in information, such as email address.
- Company bookkeeping records, reports, invoices, payments, and ledger entries.
- Uploaded financial documents, including statements, receipts, invoices, and payroll reports.
- Bank account details, balances, and transactions imported from bank statements and activity exports.
- Payment processor data from services such as Stripe and Square.
- Basic technical information needed for security, troubleshooting, and audit records.
How We Use Information
We use this information to:
- Import transactions and financial records.
- Reconcile bank and card accounts.
- Prepare reports and cash-flow views.
- Keep company books accurate and up to date.
- Detect missing statements, mismatched transactions, and bookkeeping gaps.
- Maintain security, access control, and operational records.
Bank Data
Bank data enters Books through statements and activity exports the account owner uploads. Bank data is used only for bookkeeping, reconciliation, reporting, cash-flow review, and account management. Bank data is not sold and is not used for advertising.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers needed to operate Books, such as hosting, database, banking, payments, email, and AI processing providers. We do not sell bank data or financial records.
Security
Books uses restricted access, company-level permissions, managed production secrets, encrypted bank tokens, HTTPS, and database access controls to protect financial data.
Retention
Bookkeeping records are retained as needed for accounting, tax, audit, and operational purposes. Temporary working files may be removed when they are no longer needed.
